Answer:

p= -2+√(5) and p= -2-√(5)

Explanation:

Given the form ax²+bx = D, you add in b/2 and get:

ax² + bx + (b/2)² = D + (b/2)²

After that, I factored it to (p+2)²=5

Whenever taking a square root, you always get a ± as an answer.

The rest is just algebra
