you put the points into this equation to find the slope

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

now lets label the points

(6,-8)

x1=6 and y1=-8

(3,-4)

x2=3 and y2=-4

Input into equation

(-4-(-8))/(3-6)=

(-4+8)/(3-6)

4/-3
