Answer:

The lines are not parallel

Explanation:

Parallel lines have the same slope

To find the slope of each line, we must find two ordered pairs that belong on each line. (x,y)

6x + 2y = 8

Two ordered pairs (1,1) and (0,4)

x1y1 x2y2

Slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

Slope = 4-1/0-1 = 3/-1 = -3

3y = 6x+9

Two ordered pairs (1,15) and (3,27)

x1y1 x2y2

Slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

Slope = 27-15/3-1 = 12/2 = 6

6\\eq -3, so these lines are not parallel

Hope this helps :)
