Answer:

3.25 cm is the answer to
3(1)/(4) of a cm.

Explanation:

Given:

3(1)/(4) of a cm.

Solution:

Type I:

First we will see what is
(1)/(4)

3(1)/(4)=0.25

i.e
(1)/(4) And 0.25 is SAME.

Now,

3(1)/(4)= 3\ and\ 0.25=3+0.25=3.25\ cm

Type II:

3(1)/(4)=(4* 3 + 1)/(4)\\3(1)/(4)\\=(12+1)/(4)\\=(13)/(4)\\=3.25\ cm
