Given statement as :

If the sum of twice a number and -12 is multiplied by 2 the result is 11 greater than the opposite of the number find the number

Now, Let The number be x

So, As per statement

2 × [2 x + ( - 12 ) ] = 11 + ( - x )

Or, 2 × 2 x - 2 × 12 = 11 - x

Or, 4 x - 24 = 11 - x

Or, 4 x + x = 11 + 24

or, 5 x = 35

∴ x =
(35)/(5)

I.e x = 7

so, number is x = 7

Hence The number which satisfy the given statement is 7 . Answer
