Total number of players = 6x

This meas we subtract 2 from every team. Since there are 6 teams, total number of players to be subtracted = 12

Number of players left = 6x - 12

NOW there are 78 players on the field.

This means;

78 = 6x - 12

6x = 12 + 78 = 90

x = 90 / 6 = 15

This means each team has exactly 15 players.
