This was meant as a punishment from God for disobeying him. There are lots of verses that talk about forgiveness. But believe it or not, there is one sin that Jesus won't forgive. When you sin and don't learn from your mistakes, you'll be further away from God. To first receive forgiveness you have to believe in Jesus' death, the resurrection and God. God is willing to give humanity a second chance and a chance to fellowship with him. By accepting Christianity and allowing Jesus Christ to become our savior, we are telling God that we are wanting to live in his everlasting love.
