The Giant is a dynamic character as he undergoes a significant change during the story’s plot. In the beginning of the story, the Giant refuses to allow children in his garden. However, when he realizes that the children bring Spring to his garden, he welcomes them in.

Static character is opposite of dynamic character i.e. it does not change personally or emotionally over the course of the story.

In the start of the story the Giant was very selfish and did not let any children and people enter his garden. But in the end we find him helping a little child climb a tree and allowing other children play in the garden. He was really very sorry for what he had done.

These changes in Giant's personality make him a dynamic character.
