The Diameter of the circle is 14

Either enter an exact answer in terms of {pie} or use 3.14, for {pie} and enter your answer as a decimal.

to find the area of a regular circle you have to square the radius which is half of the diameter. so I would assume you would find the area of the circle as if it were a full circle and then half that number to get the area of the semi circle. so going off of that the area would be 24.5

Answer:

76.93 units²

Explanation:

Diameter, = 14

radius = 1/2 x diameter = 7

Area of circle = π r²

Area of semi-circle = 1/2 x area of circle = (1/2)π r²

given r = 7 and π = 3.14

Area if semicircle,

= (1/2)π r²

= (1/2)(3.14) (7)²

= 76.93 units²
