Answer:y=-2x+6

Explanation:

Let
m_(1) be the slope of the given line and
m_(2) be the slope of the new line.

given,
m_(1)=(1)/(2).

Since, the given line and the new line are perpendicular,

m_(1)m_(2)=-1

So,
m_(2)=-2

It is given that the new line passes through x-intercept of the given line.

The x-intercept of the given line is
(-3,0)

The equation of the line passing through
(x_(1),y_(1)) and slope
m is
y-y_(1)=m(x-x_(1))

So,the line is
y-0=-2(x+3)

y=-2x-6
