Zn + CuCl₂ → ZnCl₂ + Cu

Br₂ + 2KI → 2KBr + I₂

Step-by-step explanation:

Single replacement:

It is the reaction in which one elements replace the other element in compound.

General reaction:

AB + C → AC + B

Example:

Zn + CuCl₂ → ZnCl₂ + Cu

Zinc is more reactive than copper. It displaces the copper from chloride and itself react with chlorine and form ZnCl₂.

Br₂ + 2KI → 2KBr + I₂

Bromine is more reactive than iodine. It displaces the iodine from potassium and get react with potassium and form potassium bromide.
