Subtract 28 from 54, and then subtract that difference from 32.

Answer:

32 - (54 - 28)

Explanation:

You can use your order of operations to do everything in the order that they ask you to.

The first thing they want you to do should be in parenthesis because you will do that first.

They ask you to subtract 28, so that would be -28. Since it is being subtracted from 54, then 54 would be first. That gives us 54 - 28.

The next thing they ask is for you to subtract whatever total you get from 54 - 28. The answer you get from subtracting is called the difference.

If you put the first part in parenthesis (54 - 28), then that needs to be done first and what is outside will be done last.

32 - (54 - 28)

= 32 - 26

= 6
