Let logP/N=6 and logM/N=8. What is the relationship between p and m

Answer: m = 100p

Explanation:

logP/N = 6

Recall from laws of logarithms

log a/ b = log a - log b

Applying the law of logarithm to the equation , we have

log P - log N = 6 ....................... 1

Also apply law of logarithms to logM/N = 8 , we have

log M - log N = 8 ........................2

Combine the two equations together , we have

log P - log N = 6 .............. 1

log M - log N = 8 ................2

subtract equation 1 from eqaution 2 , we have

lop M - log P = 2

Applying the law of logarithms , we have

log ( M/P) = 2

Recall from law of logarithms: if log x = y ,then x =
10^(y)

Applying the same law , we have

M/P =
10^(2)

M = 100P
