Explanation:

Given

f(x) = 2x - 5

f^-1(x) = ?

we know

Let

y = f(x)

Or y = 2x - 5

Now Interchanging the role of x and y we get

x = 2y - 5

or 2y = x + 5

therefore y = (x+5) / 2

Therefore, f^-1(x) = ( x + 5 ) / 2

Hope it will help :)❤
