What is the coefficient of friction between the road and the tires? Is this the coefficient for static or kinetic friction?

When a car moves around a circular arc the it experience a radial force F

F= m v²/r

To avoid the slipping friction force must be equal to F

Friction force Fr= μ m g

Fr= F

μ m g= m v²/r

μ = v²/rg

By putting the values


\mu =(20^2)/(50* 10) ( take g =10 m/s²)

μ =0.8

This is the coefficient for kinetic friction
