Two angles are supplementary if their sun is 180 degrees. The larger angle measures four degrees more than ten times the measure of a smaller angle. If x represents the measure of the smaller angle and these two angles are supplementary, find the measure of each angle.

Explanation:

x + (10x + 4) = 180

11 x + 4 = 180

11 x = 176

x = 16 degrees

therefore

smaller angle = 16 degrees

Larger angle = 10(16) + 4

= 164 degrees
