Answer: The colonies were divided into three different regions, called "Northern Colony", "Center Colony" and "Southern Colony". Each had a specific economic, human, geographical and socio political profile.

They had similarities in an agrarian basis. And a strong agricultural component to its economy.

The northern colonies were typical of settlements, using wage labor, being free to market their products, since there was no interest of the English crown in exploring this region because of the same climatic conditions of the metropolis. As a result, any produce grown there could also be grown and produced in England. The southern colonies, considered to be exploitative, used slave labor, targeted the foreign market, and had a closer commercial relationship with the metropolis.
