Answer:

The process that releases ATP by breaking down glucose into ethanol and carbon dioxide is known as B alcoholic fermentation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Alcoholic fermentation is an anaerobic process that deals with the breakdown of glucose into ethanol and carbon dioxide along with ATP generation.

First of all glucose molecule is Catabolized to pyruvate by glycolysis pathway. The so formed pyruvate is reduced to Acetyldehyde and carbon dioxide by the catalytic activity of Pyruvate Decarboxylase enzyme.

in the final step Acetaldehyde is undergo further reduction to generate ethanol by the help of Alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme.

This two reduction steps helps in the regeneration of oxidized NAD+ .
