The zeros of the function X squared +14 X +48 is -6 and -8

Solution:

Need to find zeros of x squared +14x +48 that means needs to find solution of following quadratic equation

x^(2)+14 x+48=0

On splitting the middle term so that summation of two terms comes 14x and product of two terms be
48x^2 , we get

\begin{array}{l}{x^(2)+8 x+6 x+48=0} \\\\ {=>x(x+8)+6(x+8)=0} \\\\ {=>(x+6)(x+8)=0}\end{array}

So either x+6 = 0 or x + 8 = 0

when x+6 = 0, x = -6

when x+8 = 0, x = -8

Hence required zeros of
x^2 + 14x + 48 are -6 and -8.
