Answer:

The tectonic features and actions that result in seismic waves are: movement of the Earth's tectonic plates, explosions, volcanoes and landslides, etc.

Explanation:

Seismic waves occur when during an earthquake, the rocks beneath the Earth's surface breaks along the fault. This results in excessive release of energy which produces seismic waves these waves make the ground shake. When two plates were wiped each other, they attach little bit. They keep on pushing each other but are not able to move away smoothly.

A pressure is developed between them, as a result the rocks break and earthquake occurs. During and after the quake the plates keep on moving till the time they get stuck up again. The place where the 'rock breaks' are called 'the focus of an earthquake'. And the place immediately above 'the focus' is called the 'epicentre of the quake'. Seismic waves are can also be caused by underground explosions. These explosions occur while making tunnels for roadways, railways or during mining activities.
