The probability p(less than 3 or odd) is 0.66

How to find the probability?

We need to find the quotient between the number of outcomes that meet the condition.

In a standard dice we have 6 possible outcomes which are {1, 2,3, 4, 5, 6}

And from these, the ones that are either less than 3, or odd, are:

{1, 2, 3, 5}

1 and 2 are less than 3.

1, 3, 5 are odd

Then we have 4 out of 6 outcomes, so the probability is:

p(less than 3 or odd) = 4/6

p(less than 3 or odd) = 2/3 = 0.66
