Dividing 16 on both sides

(m+5)² = 8/16 (Cancellation)

(m+5)² = 1/2

Taking Square Root on both sides

√m+5)² =√1/2

m+5 = ±√1/2

Shifting 5 on right side

m= +1/√2 - 5 , m= -1/√2 - 5

m= 1-5√2/√2 , m= -1 - 5√2/ √2
