5% = 0.05

Current salary: $26,355

$26,355 multiplied by 0.05 = $1317.75

$26,355 minus $1317.75= $25,037.25.

Last year’s salary was $25,037.

$25,037+5%=$26,355

I hope I’m right :/

Hey!

--------------------------------------------------

~Raise

5% = 0.05

0.05 + 1 = 1.05

~We can use the equation 26,355 = 1.05x

~Divide 1.05 to both sides.

26,355/1.05 = 1.05x/1.05

25,100 = x

~Check

25,100 * 0.05 = 1,255

25,100 + 1,255 = 26,355

--------------------------------------------------

Hence, her salary last year was $25,100!

--------------------------------------------------

Hope This Helped! Good Luck!
