1. A hotel has 300 rooms which are all occupied. Each room can have either 1 or 2 guests and there are 420 guests staying in total. How many rooms are occupied by 2 guests?

I think theres another way to solve this but heres how i would:
420-300=120 excess guests if all rooms were occupied by one person
So, there would be 120 rooms occupied by two people by that logic.
to check:
120(2)+ 180(1)
240+180=420

Answer:

60

Explanation:

420 - 300 = 120

120/2 = 60
