Answer:

Jessica had 32 candies at the beginning.

Explanation:

Let the number of candies Jessica had at the beginning be
x.

Candies gives to Judy =
(1)/(8)x.

Now, candies left with Jessica is
x-(1)/(8)x=(7x)/(8).

Candies given to Reggie is
(3)/(7) of
(7x)/(8).

Candies with Reggie is
(3)/(7)*(7x)/(8)=(3x)/(8).

Candies left with Jessica after giving to Reggie =
(7x)/(8)-(3x)/(8)=(4x)/(8).

Now, Jessica lost 75% of what she had left. So, 75% of
(4x)/(8).

Candies lost =
(75)/(100)*(4x)/(8)= (3x)/(8)

Now, candies left with Jessica =
(4x)/(8)-(3x)/(8)=(x)/(8).

As per question,

Candies left with Jessica at last is 4. So,

(x)/(8)=4

x=32

Hence, Jessica had 32 candies at the beginning.
