Combine like terms on each side: 3f + 2 = 8 - 3f
Move like terms to the same side:
3f + 3f = 8 - 2
Combine:
6f = 6
Divide 6 off of the f on both sides
6f = 6

f = 1

In a step by step fashion you solve the problem like so:
Move terms:
3f+2=8-3f
Combine like terms:
3f+3f=8-2
Divide
6f=6
Solution
