we can always find the x-intercept of any equation by simply setting y = 0, so let's do so


\bf 4x+3y=36\implies 4x+3(\stackrel{y}{0})=36\implies 4x=36\implies x=\cfrac{36}{4}\implies x = 9 \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill\\\\ ~\hfill (9~~,~~0)~\hfill
