The question is to find the momentum of the system after the football players collide

Answer:

93 Kg.m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

Momentum of first player is m1v1 where m1 is mass of player 1 and v1 is velocity of player 1. Substituting m1 with 105Kg and V1 with 8.6 m/s

Momentum of player 1=105 Kg*8.6 m/s=903 Kg.m/s

Momentum of player 2 will be given by m2v2 where m2 is mass of second player and v2 is velocity of second player

Substituting m2 with 90 Kg and v2 with -9.0 m/s

Momentum of player 2=90 Kg*-9.0 m/s=-810 Kg.m/s

Total linear momentum is the addition of momentum of both first and second players

Momentum=903 Kg.m/s+-810 Kg.m/s=93 Kg.m/s
