The reason is likely because of an unit error of centimetres square (cm²) which is to be in metres square (m²)

Explanation:

The units of the length is in meters, and the side length, S, of the cube is S = 0.7 m, therefore, the answer is to be given as follows;

The surface area of one face of the cube = S² = (0.7 m)² = 0.49 m²

The number of faces in a cube = 6, therefore, we have;

The surface area of the cube = 6 × The surface area of one face of the cube

The surface area of the cube = 6 × 0.49 m² = 2.94 m²

Therefore, the surface area of the cube is 2.94 m² (m² not cm²)
