Well first you distribute the -2 to the 7 and the n. Next you add or subtract like terms accordingly.
Example:
-2(7+n)+4
-14-2n+4
-10-2n

Answer:

-10 + -2n

Explanation:

If you want it simplified, use distributive property.

Multiply the number outside the parentheses by both the number in to remove them.

-14 + -2n + 4

Simplify

-10 + -2n

I'm always happy to help :)
