Hayden likes building radio-controlled sailboats with her father. One of the sails, shaped like a right triangle, has side lengths measuring 6 inches, 8 inches, and 10 inches. To log her activity, Hayden creates and collects drawings of all the boats she and her father built together. Using the scale factor of 1/4, create a scale drawing of the sail.

Answer:

The sides of the triangle will be 1.5" , 2" and 2.5". The scale drawing is attached.

Explanation:

The original measures of the triangle are:

6 inches

8 inches

10 inches

In order to transform the measures to the scale 1:4 we have to divide each measure by 4:

Scale dimensions (1:4)

6 inches÷4= 1.5 inches

8 inches÷4= 2 inches

10 inches÷4= 2.5 inches

We make a drawing with this measures. (The drawing is attached.
