Answer:

x=3/5

6x-9=1

we need isolate x. to do so we need to do inverse operations.

to move 9 we need to add 9 to both sides.

-9+9=0

9+1=10

6x=10

to move 6 and isolate x. we need to divided since x is being multiplied by x.

6x/6=x

6/10=6/10

x=6/10

since we can divide 6/10 and not get a long decimal we need to leave it as a fraction.

But we need to make sure the fraction is in simpliest form.

6/2=3

10/2=5

x=3/5
