Since its just an expression we can’t make x equal to anything so the best we can do is simplify the expression given.

so 7 plus the sum of x and 5

7+(X+5)

Mow just simplify it

x+5 is x+5

x+5+7 is 12+x becuase 5+7 is 12 and I combined like terms

x+12
