An example of contrast is that in The Young Marty, the fact that the woman in the water is shining brightly amongst the darkness of the river she’s in, and the dark background with the man standing over her, and the dark boat floating in the water.. An example of movement is how the water seems to be moving quickly with the presence of the waves in the water. Another example of movement is how her dress seems to be floating in the water as it moves.
