Answer:

x^2 + 9x + 14 = 0.

Explanation:

First we can write it in factor form.

As the roots are -2 and -7 the factors are (x+2) and (x+7) so we have the equation:

(x + 2)(x + 7) = 0

Now expanding, we get:

x(x + 7) + 2(x + 7) = 0

x^2 + 7x + 2x + 14 = 0

x^2 + 9x + 14 = 0 (answer).

♫ :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: // Hello There ! // :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ♫

I assure the question is much simpler than it seems

As the roots as -7 and -2, the values in the parenthesis when the equation was factorized would be the positive version of those

Thus:

( x + 7 ) ( x + 2 )

Simply expand:

==> x^2 + 7x + 2x + 14

Simplify:

x^2 + 9x + 14

This is your answer.
