All the four lateral faces are rectangle with a width of 5 and a height of 10. So, they have an area of 50. There are four of them, for a total surface area of 200.

ANSWER:

The surface area of the rectangular prism is 250
\mathrm{cm}^(2)

SOLUTION:

Given, Rectangular prism has a length of 5 cm a width of 5 cm and a height of 10 cm.

Let length of the rectangular prism be l = 5 cm

Width of the rectangular prism be w = 5 cm

Height of the rectangular prism be h = 10 cm

We need to find the surface area of the rectangular prism.

A rectangular prism is nothing but a cuboid shape.

So, surface area of a rectaangular prism= 2(lw + wh + hl)

= 2(5
* 5 + 5
* 10 + 10
* 5)

= 2(25 + 50 + 50)

= 2
* 125

=250
\mathrm{cm}^(2)

Hence, the surface area of the rectangular prism is 250
\mathrm{cm}^(2)
