(a) work out how long it takes light to travel a distance of 9.75 × 10^7 km.

325 seconds

Explanation:

9.75 x 10^7km = 9.75 x 10^10m

Since time= distance/speed

9.75 x 10^7m/ 3x10^8m/s

=325seconds
