Answer:

Side a = 3x + 8

Side b = 4x - 1

Side c = 5x + 2

● perimeter of a triangle = side a + side b + side c

perimeter of a triangle = (3x + 8) + (4x - 1) + (5x + 2)

perimeter of a triangle = 3x + 8 + 4x - 1 + 5x + 2

perimeter of a triangle = 3x + 4x + 5x + 8 +2 - 1

perimeter of a triangle = 12x + 9 or 3(4x + 3)

Therefore, the perimeter of the triangle is 12x + 9 or 3(4x + 3).

Note: 12x + 9 or 3(4x + 3), both could be the right answers, but for lower grades, the final answer would just be 12x + 9.

Hope that helps...

Answer:

12x+9

Explanation:

We may find the perimeter of a shape by adding all of it's side lengths.

We can start by adding 2 sides together.

(5x+2)+(3x+8)=8x+10

Because we don't know the value of x, we can only add together the amount of times that it is multiplied.

Now we add the final side.

(8x+10)+(4x-1)=12x+9

Hope this helps friend.
