The room itself measures 64 feet by 48 feet. The carpet is 9 feet by 13 feet. Find the area of floor outside the carpet

Answer: 2,955 feet squared.

Step-by-step explanation: The area is the width times the height. The area of the whole room is 64*48=3,072 and when excluding the area of the carpet which is 9*13=117 you get 3,072-117=2,955 feet squared.
