-3x + 20 = 9x - 2x

-3x+20=7x

move -3x to the other side

sign changes from -3x to +3x

-3x+3x+20=7x+3x

20=10x

divide both sides by 10 to get x by itself

20/10=10x/10

Answer:

x=2
