P- Parenthesis. If none, go to the next.
E- Exponents. If none, go to the next and so on.
M- Multiplication
D- Division
A- Addition
S- Subtraction
-8(2x+3)+5
Then use distributive property.
-8 multiplied with 2x and -8 multiplied with 3 which gives you -16x and -24.
-16x-24+5
There is no Multiplication or division. So go to Addition. Add all the like terms together.
-24 with +5 is -19.

Answer: -16x -19.
