Can someone help me pls? Algebra is hard for me and i don't understand it.

1. Solve the system. Show your work using Graphing OR Substitution OR Elimination. Check your answer by showing your solution works in both original equations. y = 2x -6 y = -½ x +4

Answer: x=4 y=2

Explanation:

y = 2x -6, y = -½ x +4

were going to use substitution

y = 2x -6

(y = -1/2x +4)4 *you are trying to get -1/2 the same as 2x

y = 2x -6

4y = -2x +16 *add both equations together

5y = 10 *divide

y=2

2 = 2x -6 *plug y=2 into the equation

+6 +6

8=2x

4=x
