Explanation:

From the subtraction sign before the 18x, we can infer that one of the equations has a negative number. So, know we have this:

(x-?) (x+?)

There are multiple answers this could be,

(x-18) (x)

(x-20) (x+2)

You get where I am going...

If you went with the first on (x-18) (x), then you wouldn't have to add anything.

(x-20) (x+2) = x^2 - 18X - 40.

To be honest this one stumped me. Some just have multiple answers. My guess is that you have to fill out the boxes so maybe the first answer wouldn't work.

Sorry I couldn't give a concise answer. Though their probably is one obivious answer that I am missing.
