Troubleshooting of network issues can sometimes be resolved in a few simple steps. For some issues, using one approach may work better than others. However, in this case, I should use the bottom-up approach to troubleshoot this problem. In the bottom-up approach, the physical layer is the initial point in which I will begin troubleshooting and will go up layer by layer to the Application layer. The physical layer is where I will spend most of my time checking whether all the network cables are plugged in and whether all the physical components are working correctly. After I am sure that all elements associated in this layer are in perfect condition, I can shift focus to the next layer above.
