So we can say:

Note: 34% means 0.34

THis in equation would be translated as:

36,300 = y - 0.34(y)

Solving, we get:

36,300 = y - 0.34y

36,300 = 0.66y

y = 36,300/0.66

y = 55,000

Hence, last year's total revenue was $55,000
