For this case we have that by definition, the slope of a line is given by:

m = \frac {y_ {2} -y_ {1}} {x_ {2} -x_ {1}}

In this case we have to:

(x_ {1}, y_ {1}) :( 3, -4)\\(x_ {2}, y_ {2}): (- 2,1)

Substituting we have:

m = \frac {1 - (- 4)} {- 2-3} = \frac {1 + 4} {- 5} = \frac {5} {- 5} = - 1

So, the slope is -1

ANswer:

m = -1
