Answer:

Explanation:

According to the Order of Operations, in this case, just evaluate EVERYTHING in parentheses:

(14 + 3) - (2 × 6) = 5

17 - 12

Here are several acronyms you can use for the Order of Operations:

G - Grouping Symbols

E - Exponents

M - Multiplication & Division

S - Subtraction

PEMDAS

P - Parentheses

There are many others, but I am pretty sure you will figure them out, or choose which one will work best for you.

I am joyous to assist you anytime.

Answer:

5

Explanation:

This is a problem most likely relating to order of operations (i.e. PEMDAS) where the letters stand for the order you should solve the problem in.

P= Parenthesis

E= Exponent

M= Multiplication

D= Division

A= Addition

S= Subtraction

With this in mind, I solved (14+3) and (2x6), which gave me 17 and 12 respectively. After I subtracted 12 from 17 and got 5 as the answer
