The hurricanes are formed by warm water, moist warm air. when the cool air touches the moist warm air rising from the ocean surface leading the water vapour to condense forming storm clouds. This condensation of vapour release latent heat making the air above warmers and leading to more way to the rise of humid warm air.
This cycle continues with developing more heat transferred from ocean surface to atmosphere. This heat exchange creates a wind pattern with a hallow calm centre similar to water swirling in a drain.
