Answer:

it is not in the options but when i calculate it it was (3/2,6)

Explanation:

We have the system of equation:

y = 4x equation 1

8x + y= 18 equation 2

As we see that the first equation has a value of y. Now plug the value of y which is 4x in 2nd equation:

8x+y=18

8x+(4x)=18

12x=18

Divide both sides by 12.

12x/12= 18/12

x= 18/12

x= 6/4

Now plug the value x= 6/4 in equation 1.

y=4x

y=4(6/4)

4 will be cancelled out by 4

y = 6

The solution set we get is(x,y){(6/4 , 6)}....
