The insertion of triplet code in the sequence will hamper less as compared to other number. This is so because in case triplet code is added into the sequence the protein produced can be functional due to silence mutation.

Silent mutation can be defined as the mutation that has no negative effect on the body of the individual. Two triplet codes for same protein is defined as silent mutation.

But in case of other number insertion mutation can take place which can be harmful for the body of individual.
